Sawtooth Estate WineryThe winery, formerly known as Pintler Cellars, was founded in 1987 and started as a fifteen-acre vineyard in the heart of the Canyon County region of the Idaho’s Snake River Valley. The vineyards surrounding Sawtooth Winery were once rich pastures owned by Charles Pintler. The Pintlers saw a greater potential in the steep, south sloping hills, and set out to grow wine grapes. Seven acres of European vinifera vines were planted in 1982, including Chenin Blanc, Riesling, and Semillon grapes. In the following year, four additional acres were planted, including Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. In 1987, the first harvest of fruit was available for the winery. In 1987, 2000 cases of wine was produced. In 1988, Pintler Cellars became bonded and an official winery. That year, the winery crushed its first grapes and produced wine at its own facility. It was bottled under the Pintler Cellars label. The next year, a tasting room was opened and curious visitors traveled to enjoy Idaho’s new premium winery. In the years to follow, Chardonnay was planted, along with other experimental varieties. More recently, the vineyard has new plantings, including Syrah, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc, and Voignier. Pintler Cellars joined Corus Estates & Vineyards in 1998. The winery then changed its name to Sawtooth Winery. The new Sawtooth label is distinctly unique, depicting the jagged Sawtooth mountains and conveying the grandeur of Idaho’s scenic wilderness and sporting. Sawtooth Winery is continually recognized for making high-quality distinctive wines of exceptional character and depth. The quality of the vineyard and winemaking is evident in every bottle of Sawtooth wine.

Ste. Chapelle WineryFrom high atop ”Winery Hill,” Ste. Chapelle Winery overlooks thousands of acres of fertile orchards and farmland in Southwestern Idaho known as Sunny Slope, with the famous Snake River winding through the valley below. Founded in 1976 by the Symms family, Ste. Chapelle Winery is named after the beautiful La Sainte Chapelle in Paris, built by King Louis IX as the court chapel during the 13th century. The winery tasting room follows the airy feel of La Sainte Chapelle with its high, bright cathedral-style windows, vaulted ceilings with wooden beams and a stained glass grapevine window greeting its visitors. Founded by the Symms family with the intention of being a small operation, Ste. Chapelle quickly expanded to meet consumer’s demand as the Idaho wine growing region built its reputation. Today, it is the leading winery in Idaho in both production and sales volume. Ste. Chapelle produces approximately 130,000 cases per year. State-of-the-art presses, a high speed bottling line and best practices make this a world-class winery. In 2012 Precept Wine welcomed Ste. Chapelle to its Northwest family of wineries. bolstering Ste. Chapelle’s distribution and visibility as a quality brand on the world’s stage.
